Every Step is On Purpose

This One's Short. On Purpose.

Fresh milk doesn't take a lot of steps, so it doesn't take a lot of words either. Here's the whole thing.

The farm is close, and so is the timing. Our two partner farms deliver raw milk the day before we process it. That means hours between farm and plant, not days.

We heat it once and leave it alone. Our milk is pasteurized at 170°F for 18 seconds. No ultra-pasteurization. And except for our chocolate milk, none of it is homogenized, so the cream still rises to the top the way it always has.

Then we drive it ourselves. Our own drivers carry it out. For some nearby stores, milk that left the farm on Tuesday is on the shelf by Thursday.

That's it. That's the blog.

Ultra-pasteurized milk is built to travel far and sit a while. Ours was never meant to wait around, so we built our whole week around not making it.

Fewer steps. Fewer days. Fewer words. Intentionally fresh.
