Caramelized Onion Cream Sauce


What You'll Need:

1/3 cup Snowville Creamery whipping cream

5 large onions

1 tbsp olive oil

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 50 mins

In a wide saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook 5 - 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions become translucent.

If the onions begin to brown, reduce heat. reduce the heat to low and cover 10 minutes.


Remove the cover, and cook an additional 30 minutes over low, or until the onions are brown, sweet, and completely caramelized. Add cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.


Heat longer for a thicker sauce, or add pasta water to thin, to reach desired consistency.


Add salt and pepper to taste.
